Staff Profile – Laura Stevens
Laura is our Head Teacher at Step Ahead. She comes to us having worked in early childhood for over 10 years. Laura has a strong belief in the environment as the ‘third teacher’ that you will see exampled in many ways through invitations and provocations offered in both the outside and inside environments. Outside of Step Ahead, as well as spending time with her family, Laura is a keen runner, boot camper and has just taken up Yoga. Laura also enjoys taking her two fur babies for walks and swims. Laura welcomes new families to Step Ahead and strongly values the relationships that she has with the child and their whanau.”
