Step Ahead Crackers Recipe

We love making these bite-sized snacks at Step Ahead. Healthy, delicious and great fun to make. Below is our recipe for fool proof crackers.


  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 100g of seeds of your choice (we use seasame, pumpkin, sunflower, chia and linseeds)
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 cup water


  • Mix all of the ingredients together
  • Divide the mixture into 3 lots
  • Place each lot between two sheets of baking paper on a tray
  • Roll the mixture flat, remove the top sheet of baking paper and leave flat mixture on tray
  • Mark into squares
  • Bake at 200 degrees celsius for 10-12 minutes
  • Cool and eat
